Job Description	Project Summary Instrument and Pricing Content (IPC) group at Thomson Reuters is making great strides toward enhancing the current technology offerings and building new state-of-the-art content technology systems. The Symbology Development team is an important core technology group in IPC, looking for a qualified DB professional to join us in achieving success. This individual will be responsible for the development in .NET technologies to meet the business needs of the Symbology Business. Expected to be current in all aspects of development in .NET and to be a thorough hands-on developer. Will work on new application development projects and enhancement and maintenance of existing applications. Lots of exposure to Financial Markets data, and the opportunity to be involved in modelling of Symbology data for consumption by clients and products. Essential Day to Day Responsibilities oAssist in all DB scripting and write SQLs and stored procedures for the application. oDesign, develop, implement SSIS application. oTake owenrship of all data refresh tasks and work with DBA team to maintain the health of database. o Assist in all the necessary phases of project implementation - including functional requirements gathering, functional and technical design specifications, development/ configuration activities, execution of appropriate unit test scenarios to ensure solution integrity, assistance in issue resolution during user acceptance testing, maintenance activities, enhancements to existing applications, system upgrades, and implementations o Document all development and project related work per company's methodology o Collaborate with other technical staff to research, evaluate, develop, test and implement new and/or currently unused functional and technical solutions to enhance the value of Thomson Reuters business systems o Collaborate and communicate across a wide variety of audiences within the technical organization and business end-user community At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act. Desired Profile	Education Four year college degree in Engineering or equivalent. Required Skills o 2+ Years experienced DB Developer proficient in SQL server 2005 and SSIS (Sql Server Integration Services). o Working knowledge of database programming concepts o 2+ Years C# .NET development experience Develop proactive working relationships with employees both inside and outside the team Desired Skills o Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills o Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually o Effective, responsive, and timely analysis, problem solving, and issue resolution skills o Demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments with high-quality results At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
