Job Description	SQL DBA Work Location: Chennai Experience: 3-7Yrs Primary skills SQL and Secondary skills Oracle SQL skills required Sound working & implementation knowledge of DR / HA / BCP techniques Installing and maintaining Sql Server 2005 / 2008 instances Planning, designing & Implementing the database architecture as per best practices Security - Database and Server level Hardening Capacity Planning & Scalability Benchmarking for VLDB & complex databases Applying Patches & Hot-fixes Performance Tuning & Resource optimization Possess good knowledge of SSIS / SSRS / SSAS and other components Heterogeneous components connectivity setup and maintenance Performing day-to-day tasks like backup & restore / house-keeping / monitoring etc Oracle skills required Production support on Oracle 10g/11g environments Database Software Installation and Configuration Management Strong technical knowledge in RMAN, Backup/Recovery, Database cloning, Database Patching Should have experience in handling escalations and resolve critical issues. Good Knowledge on Shell Scripting Good Knowledge of Performance Tuning Experience on Active-Passive Cluster Cluster Maintenance (Failover / Fail-back) at the Operating System Level Prior working experience on Telecom domain is preferred.
