Job Description	Project Description: Provide Level I technical support to HP Customers on Compaq and HP Storages Support Coverage hours: 24/7 Region Support: Global Role Description (Nature of Activities the candidate is going to do) Provide remote technical support to Enterprise Critical customers via email/phone Intermediate level of Domain Knowledge - Operating systems, Software sub-systems, Server Hardware, Storage sub-systems Present technical information in easily understood terms Good communication skills Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ensure TCE and attainment of team/individual metrics Elevate / Escalate calls/customer issues in a timely manner Contribute to process improvement Deliver entry level training programs Demonstrate a basic knowledge of organization and policies. Demonstrate basic business knowledge Work under limited supervision
Desired Profile	Education: 3 years in Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a technical/scientific discipline Skill - Mandatory Excellent Telephone Communication skills Experience in the break/fix arena Experience in Remote support Analytical Troubleshooting Experience Customer Focused and Team Player Exposure to basic Storage concepts like SCSI, RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI etc Exposure to SAN Switches like Cisco, Mcdata and Brocade Exposure to Heterogeneous environment with different flavors of Operating systems. Exposure to Multipath software, Volume Management software, Storage management Software Exposure to Enterprise Storage and SAN, and Server environment Troubleshooting skills in SAN and Storage and in depth domain knowledge for at least 2 years to 5 Years. Preferred Hardware / Software Skills Storage: XP, EVA, MSA storage / ESL, MSL, VLS and Tape Library Solutions OS: HPUX, Open VMS, Tru-64, Windows, Linux Volume management software LVM, LSM etc... Multipath softwares: Secure Path, Auto path, MPIO SAN Management software Business continuity Software like Business Copy, Continuous Access
