On-Line Business Manager - HP


Job Description
HP intends to establish an On-Line Store and associated Call Centre business in India to serve customer who prefer to buy on-line. The India Consumer Exchange Manager is responsible for managing the On-Line store as a self-contained business by developing and growing direct sales to the Consumer and Small-Office Home-Office (SOHO) markets across India, through both online and telesales platforms.



The manager will work with the India business units, category and marketing teams to understand business and product strategies, identify relevant business opportunities and deliver an effective, direct, go-to-market option, while not impacting HP's business relationships.



He/she will provide leadership to the store content, marketing and telesales teams in order to ensure that the infrastructure, programmes and sales activities deliver a positive customer experience with expected revenue growth and gross margins, on a sustainable basis.



He/she will work closely with the operations and supply chain functions and service providers to ensure that all processes and systems function effectively, develop in line with business requirements, and adhere to all necessary financial and legal standards.



Primary Job Responsibilities

P&L Responsibility for the Consumer Exchange business



Work with the various HP business units to identify and understand the Consumer and SOHO sales opportunities and agree achievable revenue and GPM targets at the APJ level.



Build and manage the store business plan and associated budgets.



Define and deploy resources required to achieve the target metrics



Manage and develop a high performance telesales team



Manage the business mix in terms of products, markets and sales mechanisms (online v telesales, PSG v IPG)



Drive the market profiling and targeting for the store using CRM tools and resources and dedicated telemarketing resources.



Develop marketing and sales campaigns that address opportunities and build share of wallet in the selected markets.



Work with relevant teams to source and effectively utilise and manage marketing budgets in order to maximise return on investment.



Identify and build new store customer communities and employee purchase programmes including the education sector and work to maximise the revenue they generate.



Agree and implement product pricing policies with the business units that are competitive in the market place but do not create conflict with channel partners.



Identify relevant and high value affinity marketing partners and work with them to develop effective campaigns that address new audiences and create new revenue streams for the store.



Provide feedback to and work with APJ store operations teams to improve the performance and productivity of store systems and processes.



Manage the local relationship with supply chain and store logistics service providers to ensure product availability and delivery performance are optimised.



Manage the product forecasting process with APJ operations.



Provide relevant business reporting and analysis to country and APJ management.



Drive optimisation of the store customer experience and levels of customer satisfaction.
Desired Profile
Experience:

This is a role that requires independent judgement, initiative and a willingness to embrace change. The successful applicant should demonstrate an ability to manage a diverse set of business challenges and functions including sales, marketing and e-commerce. With a good understanding of B2B and B2C sales environments you should have an existing track record of delivering and exceeding revenue and business targets. A high level of commercial knowledge is required and the ability to build relationships across the business units and external organisations. Finally as this business is yet to be established, this role will be suited to an individual who knows how to manage a business and works well in such a start-up environment.
