Database Architect
Enterprise infrastructure services is divided into three groups, Helpdesk responsible for client side operations (Laptops, Desktops, Voice & Video), Operations team for Datacenter operations & Engineering team for project planning, evaluation and implementation of new technologies as per business requirements.
The person in this position will be responsible for proactive assistance to our development stakeholders. This person will act on behalf of the DBA organization and will facilitate the centralized management of business critical data. You will be requested to review data models from the onset of a project and suggest modifications where necessary. You will give advice on physical model changes for performance enhancements. You will review SQL for performance impact.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a computer science or related field
Minimum experience: 8 years or equivalent experience
Good understanding of the Oracle databases, related utilities and tools
Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
Advanced understanding of SQL and PL/SQL
Advanced understanding of conceptual data modeling
Advanced understanding and practice implementing logical data models
Advanced understanding and practice implementing physical data models, along with DB specific features for best deployment
Development of data strategies and associated policies
Understanding of data security concepts and implementation methods
