Job Description
The individual shall be responsible for hardware development across the entire development life cycle of a kit.
He may at times be also responsible as a PM for a kit.
The following are the responsibilities involved:

Interfacing with Marketing and Applications teams to understand requirements
Hardware design
Schematic capture and review
Layout and Gerber review
Cold Test and functional Testing of hardware
Package and release kits by interfacing with manufacturing team
Maintain released kits
Manage kit schedules and cross functional teams, when associated as a program manager for a kit

The required mandatory skills are
Experience in hardware development and printed circuit board (PCB) design (6+ Layers)
Has used and worked on one or more of the following MCUs PIC, 8051, ARM
Experience in end-to-end systems development, Has been involved in at-least two end-to-end systems
Schematic capture using ORCAD or similar tool
Gerber verification using Allegro or similar tool
Good understanding of analog systems
Designing for EMI/EMC, ESD compliance
Familiarity with debugging embedded boards and usage of instruments like oscilloscope and signal generators
Understand WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and be able to estimate the hardware effort
Clear in oral and written communication...More
