· Should have experience on Microsoft Windows domain setup and administration
· Should have experience on Network setup and administration for a minimum of 50 machines including 6 to 8 servers.
· Should have experience with virtualization technologies like vmware or Microsoft virtual server or similar.
· Should have experience with implementing a corporate-wide strategy for data backup, recovery and archival.
· Knowledge and experience in implementing software and hardware infrastructure related processes. Awareness of related standards and best practices.
Desirable attributes:
· Experience with managing a data center or similar infrastructure where 24 X 7 up time of thesystems is required.
· Experience with supporting Linux based servers and desktops.
· Experience with setup and administration of web proxy servers and firewalls.
Desired Profile
Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn new concepts and
technologies and apply them.
· Strong aptitude and attitude to take ownership and responsibility for the entire corporate infrastructure including desktops, servers, networks and application platforms.
· Capability to take responsibility for setting up new systems and
optimizing the same within known constraints and limitations.
· Possess effective communication and conversational skills.
