IT Engineer, Sr - Cognos Administrator
Desired Profile
Qualcomm IT seeks a Cognos BI administrator to design, implement, and manage its enterprise IT infrastructure. Administrator will be responsible for design, configuration, testing and documentation of system architectures in a mission critical environment. Additional support includes: proactive and creative problem solving, identification of potential issues, 24x7 monitoring, recovery, preventative maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, and working with various technology disciplines in troubleshooting activities. Administrator must possess a customer service attitude, experience working in a frequently changing team environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Profile
7+ years demonstrated experience implementing Cognos BI 8.4.1, 10.1, TM1 9.5.x, and PowerPlay 10.1 using Single Sign-On authentication. 5+ years of hands-on experience with architecture and solution design for business intelligence, enterprise performance management, ETL, and data warehouse services. 2+ years of experience in administering and maintaining servers based on the following platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and Sun Solaris. Strong experience with IIS and Apache web servers. Solid understanding of J2EE Application Server technology, preferably Oracle Web Logic 10g+. Working knowledge and experience with the following database products: Oracle, MySQL and MS SQL Server. Experience in shell scripting with UNIX, Power Shell, PERL, and VB. Good understanding and background in TCP/IP, IT security, and single sign-on technologies. Solid understanding and experience with LDAP integration. Works within a business area and assists at the enterprise level to influence the technical decisions during all phases of the project. Experience with Migration Procedures and Disaster Recovery. Additional Skills : Excellent team player. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently with minimal direction. Results oriented and is prepared to put in the effort to achieve set objectives while managing competing priorities. Quality/process focused and attention to detail.
